Seth Rogen Pranks Innocent Grocery Shoppers With Talking Fruit To Promote ‘Sausage Party’

Seth Rogen planted animatronic talking fruit throughout a grocery store in Manhattan, and it’s not even the weirdest thing to happen in a New York shopping center in the last 48 hours. The Sausage Party star played a prank on innocent shoppers by setting up talking fruit and loaves of bread in different areas of an NYC C-Town and then goofed on people as they walked by. It’s nothing too original, but by golly if it doesn’t work like gangbusters. Rogen uses a voice so nobody realizes who is tormenting them from afar, and he’s mostly lucky that he didn’t give any little old ladies a heart attack from shock. “A talking cantaloupe! What?!”

For the most part, the jokes are pretty PG-13 – like when he mocks a group of teenage boys. Let’s face it, most of the time a group of teenage boys deserves a bit of mocking. Gotta keep the youths in check. Other jokes, though, are much closer to Sausage Party‘s rating with a few swears thrown in. After all, who doesn’t want to be told by a fake loaf of bread to “grow a pair”? Rogen looks like he’s having a blast throughout, and if nothing else this should teach unsuspecting shoppers to keep their heads up in C-Town. You never know what might happen.
