The First ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Footage Has Arrived

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures just dropped the first brief teaser for Spider-Man: Homecoming, starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Michael Keaton as the Vulture, Zendaya Coleman as “Michelle” (or Mary Jane, if the rumors hold true), Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Angourie Rice as Betty Brandt, Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr, Bokeem Woodbine as the Shocker, Michael Chernus as the Tinkerer, Hannibal Buress as a clueless gym teacher, and a whole lot of other people you’ll probably recognize who’ll only say a few words.

The full trailer is coming on Thursday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! In the meantime, we have this little bit of footage showing Spidey getting an upgraded suit courtesy of Iron Man, as delivered by Happy Hogan. Yes, the new suit has the web wings we’d been waiting to see:

Here’s the scant official synopsis Marvel has released so far:

A young Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
