Check Out ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Star Tom Holland’s Smooth Motion Capture Dance Moves

Late last week Anthony and Joe Russo teased Marvel fans with a picture of Josh Brolin “rehearsing” for his role as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War in full motion capture garb. We never wrote the story up, because, frankly, the image wasn’t that exciting (you can check it out, below).

Kind of “meh,” right? Well, the Brolin pic did have one positive effect – it spurred Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts to throw something much more interesting (and fun) up on Instagram. Watts posted a video of Tom Holland dancing to Daft Punk’s “Doin’ It Right,” and it turns out our new web-slinger has the proportional dancing ability of a spider! Which is good thing. I think?

“Can Thanos do this?” Yeah, probably not – Josh Brolin really doesn’t seem like the breakdancing type. This video may appear to be just a bit of goofy Marvel backslapping, but it is good to know Tom Holland has the innate physical ability to play an agile character like Spider-Man. The less CGI required during action scenes, the better, right? That said, he still has a way to go before he can officially call himself the smoothest movie Spider-Man…

You’ve got your work cut out for you, Holland.
