Spider-Man And Star Lord Hung Out With James Gunn, Making You Wish For A Crossover Film

There are a lot of reasons to feel malaise over the massive influx of comic-inspired films that have taken over Hollywood in the last few years. While most of them are fun, full of crazy special effects, and well worth the price of admission, some simply aren’t and can leave the viewer feeling pretty worn down on adapted comic properties. But then again, there are movies like Guardians of the Galaxy that do everything right and can restore faith in the industry, with Guardians of the Galaxy 2 being one of the more anticipated comic films of the coming years. After a Spidey cameo in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming has definitely gotten some hype to it as well. So what happens when they meet?

Madness. Or, well, a Facebook photo from Guardians of the Galaxy 2 director James Gunn featuring the respective stars from both movies. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 just wrapped up shooting at a studio in Atlanta and you’ll never guess what film was set to take their place directly after? No really, guess, the context clues are all around you. If you guessed Spider-Man: Homecoming, you are absolutely correct.

Director James Gunn and Star Lord himself, Chris Pratt, bumped into Spider-Man, Tom Holland, and this photograph was taken. Gunn had some positive words to say for Holland and the crew for the upcoming Spider-Man movie. He notes that they are all a part of one big, happy, Marvel family and seems to have faith that we’re gonna get something special out of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
