Here Are All The Spoilerish Things You Didn’t See In ‘The Force Awakens’

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Moviegoers came out in droves to watch the highly anticipated latest installment in George Lucas’ universe with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. However, those who attended the film may have left the theater wondering about omitted sequences that were cut from the various trailers that led into the movie’s release. While some are minor, others seem to be quite large.

Perhaps the biggest cut from the film was the shot in the trailer of Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber being handed by Maz Kanata to a human female. From all outward appearances, it seems that the lightsaber was given to Leia, although it’s not entirely certain. It could be quite possible that Maz and Leia will have a scene together somewhere down the road in the new trilogy. It’s just a bit sad that they did not have interaction in this film.

Another omission in the final product saw Kylo Ren about to prepare for battle by turning on a lightsaber. This shot (from the very first trailer of the film) caused a division among the fanbase, who either thought the lightsaber looked cool or questioned the design of it. Staying with Kylo Ren, the shot in the trailer of the villain with the Knights of Ren lasted longer than what you saw on the big screen. One can only assume that there will be more unearthed about the Knights of Ren and Supreme Leader Snoke as the trilogy continues.
