Chewbacca Shared Part Of The Original ‘Star Wars’ Script To Settle Who Shot First

Last week, an early version of the script for Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope was found at a library. Of course, one of the first questions people had was, “Is George Lucas still going to claim Han didn’t shoot first? Because HAN SHOT FIRST.” Not only did that old script show Han firing the first (and only) shot at Greedo during their confrontation at the Mos Eisley Cantina, but Chewbacca himself is now here to further settle the matter.

Peter Mayhew (also known as Chewbacca) posted the cover and relevant page from the shooting script on Facebook, saying, “This should settle the Original story of ‘who shot first’… after all these years, it still feels like I’m leaking a story line.”

Yes, Greedo’s name was originally Allen, a perfectly fitting name for an alien who looks like Greedo.

In other news, Harrison Ford still has only one thing to say about this perennial argument…
