Get ready to be even more excited about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Tao Okamoto, who many may remember from her roles in The Wolverine and television’s Hannibal, will be featured in the film as Mercy Graves, a character created for the Superman animated series. Graves, who’s Lex Luthor’s bodyguard/PA, has long been rumored to be featured in the film, including being spotted on set, but has only been made official now.

Here’s some more information about Graves via Coming Soon:

Originally voiced by Lisa Edelstein, Mercy made her debut on “Superman: The Animated Series” in 1996. She was later brought into the DC Comics continuity and was a heavy influence on Cassidy Freeman’s “Smallville” character, Tess Mercer (which combined Mercy with the Superman: The Movie character, Valerie Perrine’s Eve Tessmacher).

And here’s a compilation of scenes between Graves and Luthor from the animated series, just to refresh your memory of the character:

Zack Snyder’s film will also feature Amy Adams, Henry Cavill, and Ben Affleck in his debut as Batman. Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa (R.I.P. Khal Drogo) will splash in as Aquaman. Let’s just hope this star-studded cast elevates the movie instead of bogging it down.
