‘The Hunger Games’ Debuts A New Poster, Teaser And Official Trailer Premiere Date For ‘Mockingjay’

Prepare to lose your sh*t. Lionsgate, the studio behind the wildly successful YA adaptation of The Hunger Games, just dropped a major bomb on us. Not only will we soon be getting the first full-length trailer of part one of the final installment in the trilogy, today fans were treated to the teasiest of teasers with new footage from the next film and a final poster:

Lionsgate posted the announcement on the movie’s official YouTube channel along with a brief clip — seriously we can’t emphasize the word “brief” enough in this sentence — of Jennifer Lawrence as bow-weilding badass Katniss Everdeen in all of her Mockingjay glory. After giving us glimpses of the cast via movie posters and one teaser trailer, today fans finally got their first real look at symbol of the resistance with a new image and video that begins “In 5 Days” marking the release of the predicted 2 minute trailer that should launch next week. The new clip also features Donald Sutherland as President Snow giving his usual cryptic, threatening message to the girl on fire via a white rose in her living room. Creepy much?

Mockingjay, Part 1 hits theaters November 18, 2014.
