This Tribute To Zombie In Film Will Get You Hungry For The Return Of ‘The Walking Dead’

Zombie movies have captured the attention of genre fans for years. From 1932’s White Zombie to George Romero‘s ground breaking Night of the Living Dead, the undead on the big-screen is really nothing new. Five years ago, AMC made history in bringing the first TV series of this ilk to the small-screen which led to a huge growth in the genre’s popularity.

Basically, what I am saying is that we have hit over-saturation mode with the sub-genre and yet it doesn’t feel like zombies are going away anytime soon. Later this month, Paramount will release the new film Scout’s Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse, the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies trailer just hit and, let’s not forget, tonight’s Season 6 return of The Walking Dead.

Right in time for the Halloween season, YouTuber Robert Jones put together the above tribute to zombies in cinema. In just under three minutes, he successfully splices together clips from a bunch of classics — including Night of the Living Dead, Day of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead, Peter Jackson’s Dead/Alive, and even Creepshow — while set to the L7 track “Pretend That We’re Dead.”
