Before taking on the role of Deadshot in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie, Will Smith did some target practice at a place called Taran Tactical Innovations in Moorpark, CA. According to TMZ, Smith spent the day with Navy SEALS and Army Rangers, while shooting both a Glock 9mm handgun and AR-15 assault rifle.

Will Smith is no stranger to handling guns in movies, but the actor took on the extra training to make sure he can pull off playing an expert marksman/assassin as realistic as possible. Because what’s a comic book movie nowadays without extra attention to realism?

We’ll just have to wait until next August to find out when Suicide Squad finally hits theaters.
