There’s a video of Republican presidential candidate and Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain floating around the internet today in which the affable Cain, the “9-9-9” plan-pushing candidate nicknamed “Cornbread” recently by some on the web, performs his own version of John Lennon’s “Imagine.” There’s been little to no context offered about the video that I’ve seen — I have no idea when this took place or what the occasion was — but it’s not really needed here as the video is simply amazing on its own. It just popped up unannounced on the web a couple of hours ago, as things tend to often do.
Further, the video has inspired one of my favorite Twitter hashtags in some time: #HermanCainPizzaJams. My personal offering: “My Heartburn Will Go ON.”
Not to be outdone, I imagine Rick Perry’s working on his own version of Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” at this very moment. Meanwhile, when is someone going to take Cain, the GOP frontrunner in the latest polls, to task over the quite obvious elephant in the room: that Godfather’s pizza sucks really hard?
