Clipart Covers is a Tumblr site which recently blew up on Reddit. They recreate well-known album covers with clip art and Comic Sans font, making everything look like something your aunt might have designed in the early ’90s on a Tandy. After the melancholy exercise of viewing album covers with the dead musicians photoshopped out, it’s nice to see an album cover trend as goofy as this.
Clipart Covers is also taking requests for covers, but they’ve already clarified that Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is not going to happen. They also won’t be switching from Comic Sans to Papyrus as they consider it to be a “f-ckin’ hippy font”. (And a single tear streams down James Cameron’s cheek.)
