Ryan Adams’ video for “Chains of Love” essentially consists of the following: Our shaggy emo hero, strumming his guitar and crooning about being chained down by love on the roof of a building in what appears to be a hazey, smoggy city (L.A. perhaps?), backed up by tall, skinny models whose guitars shoot fireworks. That’s it. And you know what, what else could one possibly need? Besides talking slices of pizza, of course.
Come to think of it, all bands should have fireworks shooting out of their guitars in music videos, don’t you think?
