The Weeknd’s ‘Montreal’ Gets The High 5 Collective Treatment

You know, it’s been too long since we’ve posted a video from High 5 Collective — a group of guerrilla music video makers who like to, as they put it, “make art for artists that inspire us.” Too long. Let’s remedy that, shall we?

Today the Collective released a followup to the amazing work they did with The Throne, Frank Ocean and Theophilus London in the form of a video for “Montreal,” by The Weeknd — who we’re also fond of — a Canadian R&B/hip-hop artist who’s become a star after releasing a bunch of music on the internet for free. The video, like most everything put out by High 5, centers around something disturbing: in this case an attractive young girl whose father seems to have want to bone her. Let’s hear it for f-ed families! Enjoy.
