The Beastie Boys' Unreleased 'Chappelle's Show' Performance Is Finally Here

As reported everywhere, Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch Of The Beastie Boys passed away on Friday after a three-year battle with cancer of the salivary gland and a lymph node. Back in 2004, he and the other Beastie Boys (Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and Michael “Mike D” Diamond) performed “The New Style” for what would have been the third season of Chappelle’s Show.

The performance, filmed on a boat in NYC’s East River, never aired because Chappelle’s Show didn’t have a third season (a fact we’re endlessly punching holes in drywall about). Yesterday, the show’s co-creator Neal Brennan released the video for the first time on his YouTube page, saying, “Rest in Peace, Adam Yauch. You were excellent.”

In remembrance, let’s all pass the mic, make some noise, and watch a masterful, never-before-aired performance with the twenty-two automatic of your choice…
