Jay-Z And Kanye's 'No Church In The Wild' Video Will Help You Forget About 'The Great Gatsby' Trailer

Considering we’ve heard “Church in the Wild,” the best song from Jay-Z and Kanye West’s decadent Watch the Throne (although it’s Frank Ocean who’s the real highlight), in everything from the Safe House trailer to… that awful The Great Gatsby trailer, it’s nice that there’s FINALLY an official video for the track.

And it’s f*cking bleak. This kind of bleak:

In a confrontation between civilians and an oppressive police force, Molotov cocktails are lobbed, punches are thrown, skulls are cracked, and pepper spray is, well, sprayed. In other words, it’s a Romain Gavras video (he directed M.I.A.’s “Born Free” video). Also: lasers, an elephant, and a guy on fire. Like the song itself, the video for “Church” is foreboding and mysterious, and features exactly ZERO appearances from Tobey Maguire. Enjoy…
