Name The Five Albums That Have Spent More Time At Number-One Than Adele’s 21

Who are the people still buying Adele’s 21??? Seriously, who are you? Did you awake from a year-long coma? Did you recently regain your sense of hearing and want to know why so many people loved that “SNL” skit with all those women crying? Are you a woman who just learned to cry? In fact, 68 weeks after 21 was released, on February 22, 2011, it was the top-selling album in the U.S. last week, one of 24 TIMES it’s accomplished that feat. You know what other albums have spent 24 non-consecutive weeks at number one on Billboard? The Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and Purple Rain. But Prince don’t care.

That’s Prince not caring. FYI.

In fact, there are now only five albums EVER that have spent more time at #1 than 21. Can you guess ‘em? Here’s a hint: “if you can answer without cheating, I will hop into my JET and bring you a BANANA during SOME ENCHANTED EVENING, especially if you’re a GOLD DUST WOMAN, because there’s nothing like a P.Y.T. who knows her pointless music trivia.” Nope, it’s not Counting Crows!

54 weeks, West Side Story soundtrack
37 weeks, Thriller, Michael Jackson
31 weeks, Rumours, Fleetwood Mac
31 weeks, South Pacific soundtrack
31 weeks, Calypso, Harry Belafonte

Watch you’re back, Buckinghams.
