Beyonce Rumored To Be Your New Orleans Super Bowl Halftime Performer

How does one top the last Super Bowl halftime, which featured not only Madonna mounting a member of LMFAO, but MIA flipping everyone off and national-hero-for-a-day Tightrope Guy? By first seeing if Up with People is available (they’re not), and then booking Beyonce, that’s how.

A source familiar with Super Bowl XLVII told The Associated Press the Grammy-winning diva will take the stage at the halftime show on Feb. 3, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because that person wasn’t authorized to publicly reveal the information. The official announcement is expected Wednesday, the source said. (Via)

It’s a wise move by the much-despised, especially in New Orleans, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, allowing Beyonce to perform — it’s part of his grand scheme of getting people to stare at her ass long enough so that he can exit the Superdome without getting pots of gumbo thrown at him. Meanwhile, LaTavia Roberson has already set up shop near her phone, with the lyrics and choreography to “Bug a Boo” memorized all over again.
