James Franco And Lindsay Lohan Made An R.E.M. Music Video Together, With Terry Richardson

Here’s a fun Friday surprise: the same day that Lindsay Lohan did her best Joan Rivers impression of GMA, the better-late-than-never music video for R.E.M.’s “Blue,” from 2011’s Collapse Into Now, was released, starring none other than Miss Lohan. With direction from Andy Serkis Fan Club Member #001, James Franco.

It’s blurry, will likely be described as “visual poetry” at some point, nonsensical, and features a woman (in this case, Lohan) showing her bra, which is probably what every day is like for Franco, especially now that he’s best friends with Bullwinkle villain/photographer Terry Richardson, who also appears in the video. That being said, it does mesh nicely with the lyrical poetry — dammit — of the song, a duet with Patti Smith.
