While most of Miguel’s songs are clear baby-making tunes, dude apparently wanted to make something that expressed his disgust with some aspects of the modern world. Thus, “Candle in the Sun” was born.
“It’s so easy to ignore what’s right in front of us sometimes,” the crooner wrote. “I wanted to create a song and visual that addressed my everyday concerns of life as I know it in the world that we live in.”
