With the exception of Gloria Estefan and, of course, Mouse Rat, I don’t recall Leslie Knope, our favorite city councilwoman from Indiana, discussing her favorite musicians, but I’m going to assume she’s a big fan of Beyoncé. Leslie and Ben are Pawnee’s answer to Bey and Jay-Z, after all, much to Tom’s dismay.
The team behind “Kanye West Wing” believe the same thing, and recently started a Tumblr called “Parks and Beyoncé,” which puts quotes from the latter on top of scenes from the former. It’s a perfect fit: there’s no way our dear, sweet Ann Perkins hasn’t done the “Single Ladies” dance in front of a mirror on a Friday night. Chris, too.
