The only musician more fascinated with vinyl than Neil Young is Jack White, so it’s fitting that both men spent part of their weekend in a “1947 Voice-o-Graph,” the world’s “only public vinyl record recording booth in the world,” according to NME. 1947 Voice-o-Graph would be a great fake hipster band name, btw.
Jack White laid down a version of Loretta Lynn’s ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ in the Third Man Records recording booth during Record Store Day…Neil Young also recorded a song in the booth – as seen via the Third Man Instagram account, pictured below – however, details of his track have not yet been released.
