Jack White And Neil Young Recorded Songs In An Old Timey Vinyl Booth

The only musician more fascinated with vinyl than Neil Young is Jack White, so it’s fitting that both men spent part of their weekend in a “1947 Voice-o-Graph,” the world’s “only public vinyl record recording booth in the world,” according to NME. 1947 Voice-o-Graph would be a great fake hipster band name, btw.

Jack White laid down a version of Loretta Lynn’s ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ in the Third Man Records recording booth during Record Store Day…Neil Young also recorded a song in the booth – as seen via the Third Man Instagram account, pictured below – however, details of his track have not yet been released. Until then, here’s White’s excellent “Coal Miner’s Daughter” cover.
