Jay-Z Shares His Frustration With The World In ‘Open Letter’

It’s tempting to say it’s been a rough week for Jay-Z — he had to sell his ownership shares for his beloved Brooklyn Nets and two members of Congress looked into his possibly illegal trip to Cuba, an investigation that turned out to be a major waste of everyone’s time — until I remember, yeah, no, this guy’s doing fine.

Don’t tell that to Hova, though: earlier today, Jay-Z posted a new song, “Open Letter,” to SoundCloud, in which, via Pitchfork, he raps, “Politicians never did sh*t for me/Except lie to me, distort history/They wanna give me jail time and a fine/Fine, let me commit a real crime/Obama said, ‘Chill, you’re going to get me impeached’/ You don’t need this sh*t anyway, chill with me on the beach.” It’s his “Idiot Wind,” set on a beach. Hear it below.
