Rush Performed With Foo Fighters At The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Inductions

Last night at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre, Randy Newman, Donna Summer, Public Enemy, Albert King, and Heart, among others, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was a night meant to celebrate the contributions those artists have made to music history, from Sail Away to It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, but really, the event ended up being all about Rush jamming with the Foo Fighters.

Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, with temporary Foo Fighter Nick Raskulinecz, dressed up like vintage Geddy Lee & Co. to play “2112 Overture” before being joined by the real deal for “Tom Sawyer” and “The Spirit of Radio.” The performance won’t air on TV until later in the year, so until then, you’ll have to settle for a fan-made video. Worth it, though, to see Grohl rocking not only Rush, but also a white suit and wig combo.
