Jay-Z Plays Tom To Leonardo DiCaprio's Mary In '100$ Bill' From 'Gatsby' Soundtrack

On Watch the Throne‘s “N*ggas in Paris,” the first sound you hear is, “We’re going to skate to one song and one song only,” before Jay-Z begins rapping. A Will Ferrell quote from a subpar Will Ferrell skating movie in a track about French decadence was a baffling choice, even for a Kanye West song. Fast-forward nearly two years, and Jay-Z now appears in another track with a sample from a film, although this time it makes a bit more sense.

Below is the stream for “100$ Bill,” taken from Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby, and once again, the first words you hear aren’t spoken by Hova; they’re from Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays Jay Gatsby in the sure-to-be disaster. It’s only a matter of time before Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo gets its long-overdue rap game love.
