Final Track: 7 Must-Hear Songs Of The Week

It’s impossible to cover each bit of new music that comes out during the week, so every Friday, we’ll be doing an end of the week music roundup. It’s called Final Track, and we’ll count off a few songs released during the week that are worth giving a listen to.

Today, we’ve got selections from the Arctic Monkeys, Volcano Choir, Danny Brown w/ ASAP Rocky, and more.

“Do I Wanna Know?” by the Arctic Monkeys

A few weeks back, we shared a live version of the “dark, drenched-in-red” “Do I Wanna Know?” and now we have the studio version, which sounds like the band took a lesson in How to: Queens of the Stone Age.

“Byegone” by Volcano Choir

Bon Iver may be on permanent hiatus, but Justin Vernon hasn’t “accidentally” locked himself in his cabin’s panty, where he’s been stuck for months (don’t worry; there’s plenty of canned beans and SPAM) — he’s just making music with the equally majestic Volcano Choir. Here’s “Byegone.”

“F’N Right” by Jon Connor w/ Freddie Gibbs

“Kush Coma” by Danny Brown w/ ASAP Rocky

Try as you might, you’ll never be able to keep up with the gliding “Kush Coma,” now with more ASAP Rocky.

“KING Pt. 3″ by Big K.R.I.T.

As part of his “KING” freestyle series, Big K.R.I.T. raps spirituals over Nas’s “Stay.” Righteous.

“The Rock” by Deer Tick

After an unassuming, lumbering start, “The Rock,” taken from Deer Tick’s upcoming fifth album, Negativity, lives up to its stirring title. (More rock songs should end with horns shouting, btw.)

“I Love It” by Florence Welch and Dev Hynes

Florence would make Icona Pop’s infectious, bouncy “I Love It” mournful as sh*t.
