Sort of lost in the hoopla over Stephen Colbert’s touching tribute to his mom last night was the fact that the recently reunited Postal Service performed one of their more popular songs, “Such Great Heights,” on the Colbert Report last night. It marked the TV debut by the band, which consists of Jimmy Tamborello, Ben Gibbard and Jenny Lewis.
Somehow, Ben Gibbard managed not to cry over Zooey Deschanel during the performance. Thank God for that. (We would totally still be crying over her.) Anyway, enjoy!
