Final Track: 7 Must-Hear Songs Of The Week

It’s impossible to cover each bit of new music that comes out during the week, so every Friday, we’ll be doing an end of the week music roundup. It’s called Final Track, and we’ll count off a few songs released during the week that are worth giving a listen to. (via Getty Image)

Today, we’ve got selections from Haim, Angel Haze, A$AP Ferg, and more.

“The Wire” by Haim

For one day and one day only, earlier this week on Twitter, “Have you guys heard ‘The Wire’?” briefly replaced “Have you guys seen The Wire?” Haim’s “Wire” isn’t the GREATEST anything, but it’s still a punchy, catchy little song that furthers the band’s already massive appeal.

“New Slaves” by Angel Haze

The fearless 22-year-old emcee only took a crack at Kanye West’s ferocious “New Slaves” because she was “bored.” If this is her bored, then her energized might be too good for human ears to handle.

“Can’t Get Enuff” by Raven Sorvino ft. Dee Goodz

“Hood Pope” by A$AP Ferg

I’d pay good money to see the Hood Pope hold a freestyle battle against the Space Pope.

“Babyhead” by Diarrhea Planet

Sneering, fuzzy punk that leers at its audience while also boozily embracing it.

“Renaissance Girls” by Oh Land

The musical equivalent of biting into a sprinkled sugar cookie. So sweet, so vivid.

“Disappointed” by Nine Inch Nails

Nine Inch Nails know there’s no way we’re NOT going to like a song called “Disappointed,” which was debuted at South Korea’s Ansan Valley Rock Festival this week. A brilliant troll move if there ever was one.
