It’s impossible to cover each bit of new music that comes out during the week, so every Friday, we’ll be doing an end of the week music roundup. It’s called Final Track, and we’ll count off a few songs released during the week that are worth giving a listen to.
Today, we've got selections from Coldplay, HSY, Papoose, and more.
"Atlas" by Coldplay
Effectively climatic, in a weepy sort of way, for a song on the soundtrack to a movie sequel based on a young adult book. Got that? (Does saying "it's the Jennifer Lawrence one" help? She always does.)
"Redlight" by Eddie Murphy ft. Snoop Lion
Reggae, Eddie Murphy, and Snoop Lion. What are three things that haven't been good in at least a decade? And yet on "Redlight," Murphy, who hasn't released a solo album since 1993's Love’s Alright, sounds more engaged than he has in years. It's so much better than it should be, unlike Norbit, which was worse than its terrible premise.
"First Chain (Remix)" by Papoose

“Come Walk With Me” by M.I.A.
After the critical misfire of MAYA, M.I.A.'s back to radio-friendly pop...that mutates between styles.
“Tartar Mouth” by HSY
HSY release their self-titled debut EP later this month. Here's a typically aggressive noise chunk of theirs.
Death Grips for Cutie
Does Death Cab for Cutie and Death Grips mashup work? Not really. But I couldn't resist that name, either.
“Age of Consent” by Yuck
And lastly, Yuck's feedback-heavy cover of New Order's "Age of Consent," making consensual love to my ears.
