Iron & Wine, Glen Hansard, Kathleen Edwards Covered The Best Christmas Song Ever On ‘Fallon’

With all due respect to Twisted Sister’s “Oh Come All Ye Faithful,” “Fairytale of New York” is the BEST Christmas song. If only because the Pogues’ predictably intoxicated duet with Kirsty MacColl is one of the few holiday anthems that can make me stop on that one radio that only plays Christmas music for an entire month. Last night on Fallon, Iron & Wine, Glen Hansard, Kathleen Edwards, and Calexico dusted the white snow and leftover green puke from St. Patrick’s Day off their instruments to cover the Irish classic, making it sound more sweet than spit-filled.
