Despite its unforgiving title, The Beatles: The Night That Changed America – A Grammy Salute, a live music special filmed during last month’s Grammys and aired last night on CBS, was actually kind of watchable. It’s rare to hear an interesting or unique Beatles cover anymore, considering the world hit peak-Beatles cover in 1974 (WELL before I Am Sam), but The Night That Changed America contained a few pleasant surprises, including Dave Grohl, Gary Clark Jr., and Joe Walsh’s bluesy “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”
