Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ World Tour Will Completely Skip Her Precious New York City

Given that Taylor Swift is the official ambassador of New York City — as a person who moved there after she was already rich and famous who views the city through diamond encrusted rose-colored glasses designed by Givenchy — and likes it there so much that she dedicated an entire song on her album to the city, you’d think she’d want to kick off her highly anticipated 1989 tour there. Or at least perform there at some point.

Not so much. Her tour, which will kick off on May 20, 2015, will launch in … Bossier City, Louisiana. The closest she’ll get to the bestest most super city in the whole wide world during her tour will be on July 11th, when she’ll be performing in East Rutherford, New Jersey. No Madison Square Garden. No Barclays Center.

You can view the tour dates here, which run through the end of October with nearly sixty performances. If you live anywhere but New York City, there’s a good chance Taylor Swift is coming to your town.
