In a stunning victory for people without access to headphones, Uber and Spotify are teaming up to allow you to beam your Spotify Premium playlist into your Uber cab so that you never have to be without your favorite song while on the go, just so long as it isn’t a Taylor Swift song.
Now you can bond with your Uber driver over your shared musical tastes, or completely alienate them because you’re in the mood to hear “Slob on my Knob” by Three Six Mafia and you know ALL the words. Regardless of the song choice, though, I’m pretty sure that we can all agree that anything is better than the mix of awkward silence and forced small talk that usually serves as the soundtrack for a cab ride.
The program is set to kick off on November 21st in select cities, no word yet on if you need to be as footloose and fancy free as the people in the above video.
