If the ability to make you envious of the audience at an afternoon talk show is the sign of a good pop song, then “Uptown Funk” is a GREAT pop song. Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ electro-funk throwback is currently the #1 single in the country, and it’s easy to hear why: it’s impossibly catchy, full of charisma and life (even if the production is just a LITTLE too clean).

“Uptown” turns everyone into their own version of goofy Ellen trying to dance like superb James Brown. Check out the audience at yesterday’s show, where Ronson and Mars performed their smash hit. They look like goofs, but they’re having the (Morris Day and the) time of their life.
