Slipknot guiatarist Mick Thomson found himself on the way to the hospital early on Wednesday morning, the results of an alleged knife fight with his brother that ended up in his front lawn. Police were called to the Thomson’s house on Wednesday morning after neighbors called and said that the guitarist and his brother were fighting with knives. From KCCI:

Police said Mickael Gordon Thomson, 41, who lives at the home, and Andrew Thomson, of Des Moines, were involved in some sort of altercation inside the home…

According to police, the altercation spilled into the front yard, where the incident became physical.

Officers said both men appeared to be intoxicated and had serious injuries consistent with a fight. Police said Mickael Thomson sustained a stab wound to the back of his head. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

There’s clearly a long history of sibling rivalry in rock and roll, but I don’t think any have involved a knife battle at dawn in the front yard garden.

Slipknot’s management said that the incident will not affect any future dates and the band is currently on a short break from their Prepare For Hell tour.

Team Rock reportedly spoke to police who indicated that no charges had been filed at the point of publication, so that’s still up in the air. It must’ve been a heck of a fight, though.
