The Only Album From Ben Stiller’s Teenage Punk Band Is Being Reissued

Ben Stiller is currently filming Zoolander 2, hopefully with Alexander Skarsgård, but that’s not the only relic from his past that he’s revisiting. In 1982, five years before he made his on-screen debut in a random episode of Kate & Allie (ask your mom), Stiller was a teenage drummer in a no-wave band with the most teen punk band name, Capital Punishment. The group, whose other members would go on to be a professor and Supreme Court Justice, only released one album, 1982’s Roadkill, which will be reissued through Captured Tracks. Have a listen.

The song’s not very good, until you imagine Jerry Stiller listening to it. Then it’s great.
