David Letterman Called Dawes ‘All You Need’ When It Comes To Rock Bands

When David Letterman retires from hosting The Late Show, he won’t shed a tear for the monologues, or the guests who aren’t Bill Murray, or bantering with the audiences. He’s going to miss hanging out with his favorite bands, and there aren’t many that he enjoys more than Dawes, with their sweet Laurel Canyon sound. On last night’s episode, after the folk-rock group finished playing “Things Happen,” Letterman glowingly said that “if you’re looking for a rock ‘n’ roll band, this is pretty much all you need,” before adding, “People say to me, ‘When you’re done with the show, what will you do?’ I’m happy to announce I’m joining Dawes.”

The guys in Foxygen are gonna be pissed.
