Miguel’s performance at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards was, we’ll say, less than ideal. While he should have been on top of the world performing his enormous hit “Adorn,” he was instantly made into a meme when he couldn’t clear a jump and accidentally leg-dropped two unsuspecting fans. One of the fans, Khyati Shah, had reported brain damage and was considering a lawsuit, but nothing ever came of it. However, we’re learning that the other woman who was hit is considering litigation.
TMZ has reported that Cindy Tsai is preparing a lawsuit nearly two years after the infamous botched leap. In addition to suing Miguel, she is also planning to sue the MGM Grand Hotel, the host of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards for “negligence and is seeking damages to cover medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.” While Miguel is finally getting back to releasing music with “Coffee,” his first single from the upcoming Wildheart, he probably didn’t expect to see this in his rear view mirror.
