My Morning Jacket played a melodic, soft-rock set on The Tonight Show, and frontman Jim James, sporting a rather colorful coat, stretched his vocals like taffy, hitting some piercing high notes toward the end of their performance. Their seventh album, The Waterfall, is being released Tuesday, so make sure you cop that.
