Reggie Watts held on to the post of band leader for IFC’s Comedy Bang! Bang! during four great seasons. But when news broke that he would be assuming the same role for The Late Late Show with James Corden, we knew his days with Scott Aukerman were numbered. Thankfully, rapper/actor Kid Cudi was ready to step in and take over the position. Having been a fantastic guest star, we can finally have a taste of what the Cudder will be as a permanent fixture of CBB.
In the sneak peek supplied by BuzzFeed, we see that Scott’s boss is fed up with his loose cannon ways and is assigning him a new partner.
While someone like Watts is nearly impossible to replace, it seems like Cudi will fit right in with all the weirdness that takes place on Comedy Bang! Bang! Check for the season premiere on July 9 on IFC.
