Watch Florence + The Machine Perform At Lollapalooza Through A Crazy Thunderstorm

Florence + The Machine were among the many enormous acts who traveled to Chicago to perform at Lollapalooza. While Florence Welch may have performed a killer set, she (like many other sets taking place that day) was affected by storms. In fact, the whole premises had to be evacuated at one point for safety reasons.

Well, despite the bad weather, the “Ship to Wreck” band was determined to stand their ground and keep playing. As you can see in the above video, that’s probably an insane thing that few other bands would do, with lightning literally illuminating the sky. But you try telling Florence that she can’t rock a stage.

In the previously mentioned video, the band is playing “Dog Days Are Over” from 2009’s Lungs as the sky starts to open up. And in an additional video below, as they play “Cosmic Love,” it basically seems like the four horsemen of the apocalypse are on their way.

While it seems crazy, Florence Welch’s voice is powerful, like the kind of sound that would summon a storm out of the sky. Of course, it’s incredibly wild speculation that she is some sort of enchantress who can bring rain with the sound of her voice, it’s not too far-fetched.
