Sadly, we’re still about four years away from the glorious bit of entertainment that will be Kanye West’s presidential run. He revealed in his epic VMA speech that he plans to run for president in 2020, and until then, we’re left to twist in the wind, talking ourselves into whichever candidate we perceive as the least undesirable, all the while waiting for President Yeezy to come save us.
In the meantime, Actual Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton has some advice for Kanye when his White House run finally gets under way: Wear a comfortable pair of shoes.
Yes, in an interview with Extra, Clinton was asked if she had any tips for Potential President Kanye, and she revealed that in the end, it’s all about the footwear:
“Well, if I’m going for my second term, to wait four years, but if I’m not … be sure he has comfortable shoes because there’s a lot of walking involved,” she said during an interview with Extra when asked what advice she had for the hip-hop star.
This is probably sound advice, but then again, Kanye seems like the kind of person who would wear the most flamboyant shoes imaginable just to get people’s attention. Later in the interview, Clinton had some kind things to say about West’s wife, Kim Kardashian:
“I really enjoyed meeting her; I really found her to be warm and very personable. She had a nice way of introducing her husband, as if I didn’t know who he is,” she said of Kardashian.
I really wish I could have been there for that introduction, and honestly, you could hardly blame Kim for not being totally sure if Hillary Clinton knows who Kanye West is. Of course, if Hillary wins the presidency in 2016, and Yeezy ends up being serious about a 2020 bid, he could prove to her toughest competition in a potential re-election bid.
