Watch Justin Bieber Crash A Small Town Bar To Play Drums For A Cover Band

Justin Bieber, or “the Biebs” as he likes to be called, has had a good little run recently. His new single “What Do You Mean?” is his first No. 1 single in the United States. He had a much ballyhooed performance at the VMAs. Now, he’s done a bit of the “I’m just a regular guy” thing, as he showed up at a small-town bands local show and drummed for them.

The show took place in Angola. Not the African country, but an improbably named city in Indiana. Former NBA player Brian Cardinal is apparently from there. Anywho, on Saturday, a local cover band called Bonafide was playing at the appropriately named The Venue, when who should appear from the crowd but one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

Obviously, the people of Angola were quite surprised, and enthused, to see a star in their midst, and then he took the stage to play some drums for Bonafide. Surely some people will greet this with some degree of cynicism, because he is Justin Bieber and he has done enough to deserve some degree of skepticism about his actions. However, even if he was looking for some good P.R. by drumming it up with some local band, it’s still a cool thing for him to do. He may not have the working-man qualities of a Bruce Springsteen, but if the Biebs is trying to rehab his image, this isn’t a bad way to do it.
