It hasn’t been a great couple of months for fan-singer interactions. The footage of August Alsina groping a woman is as unacceptable as it is creepy, and it took four security guards to bring down a Taylor Swift devotee who I SWEAR wasn’t me. In less depressing encounters, T-Swift’s bad blood mortal enemy, Katy Perry, is back from Burning Man and hanging out with potentially “rolling” female fans for awkward selfies and clumsy boob-touching.
Ah, it’s like high school all over again.
Perry’s Prismatic World Tour recently made its way to South America for the massive Rock in Rio festival. As she does every concert, the Simpsons guest star invited an audience member to join her on-stage. It’s often a tween, someone who’s so happy to be meeting Perry that they freeze. Not Rayane, who in-between English-to-Portuguese lessons, kisses Katy’s neck and hand, not to mention all the too-close hugging, whispering, butt slapping, and, at one point, she even tries to nuzzle her way into Perry’s down there area.
Rayane and Donnie should meet up and discuss “dem thangz.”
