A Drunk Fan Crashed A Stone Temple Pilots Show, Then Collapsed On Stage

We all know that Stone Temple Pilots used to be fronted by Scott Weiland, who is no longer with the band after a series of disputes most commonly linked to Weiland’s substance abuse problems. Chester Bennington (formerly of Linkin Park) handles vocal duties now, but this past weekend, the band had another brush with on-stage intoxication, though it was of a completely different (and funnier) sort.

Stone Linkin Parklots played at a show at Weenie Road (no, seriously) in Charlotte, North Carolina, and about halfway through, the megahit “Interstate Love Song,” a super inebriated fan, complete with some of the worst tattoos you’ll ever see in your life, jumped on stage, and started dancing with the band, even going half bro-hug with Bennington as the two sang the song’s chorus together. Towards the end of the song, however, he collapsed and fell over backward. Incredibly, he then jumped back up and pretended it was nothing, with Bennington praising the fan for being “one crazy motherf*cker.” No argument there.

Judging by the hat and sunglasses that Bennington sports on stage, he seems to be trying as hard to replicate The Weiland Experience as possible, but this fan did a much better job.
