An Hour-Long Adele Special Featuring New Songs From ’25’ Is Coming

Grab a few boxes of Kleenex and set your Google Alerts. Adele is getting an hour-long BBC special prior to the release of 25. The BBC assures fans that the “Hello” singer will whip out more than a few new songs in the Graham Norton-hosted performance.

Adele at the BBC doesn’t yet have an air date, but the BBC is billing it as her first live performance since 2013, putting it ahead of her scheduled appearance on Saturday Night Live on November 21.

According to the BBC, Norton thinks that the concert will be the “music event of the year.”

“This opportunity to spend an hour with Adele, her music, and her stories is a truly rare treat,” he said. “If I wasn’t hosting this special, I’d be sat at home watching it.”

Adele said that she is equally excited about the special.

“I can’t wait. Graham and I get on great, so it’s going to be a laugh.”

Adele’s most recent single “Hello” did a number on the Internet, and the Adele news (and requisite memes) has been coming steady ever since. She recently admitted that she considered quitting music after 21 in order to go out while she was on top, but decided that she would rather her son be aware of her career.
