Adele Isn’t Allowed To Use Twitter Due To Too Much Drunk Tweeting

Adele: Twitter Liability

When the British singer was first dipping her toe into the murky waters of Twitter, she apparently did so with a few drinks in her, thus creating some awkward, albeit interesting moments. The subject came up when Adele recently appeared on a BBC special, Adele at the BBC, hosted by Graham Norton. During a segment dubbed “Rumour Has It,” the 25-year-old singer took questions from the audience. One question was about the rumor that her tweets have to go through a few layers of approval from her management team before they are released to the masses.

“That is true, yeah, ha ha ha,” Adele answered. “I’m not a drinker any more, but when Twitter first came out I was drunk-tweeting and nearly put my foot in it quite a few times. So my management decided that you have to go through two people and then it has to be signed off by someone.”

It’s cool, Adele, we’ve all been there. Maybe not with the same size audience (she currently has 23.8 million followers), but the pain and struggle are the same.

Adele dismissed the idea that her tweets were ghost-written and not hers though, saying that “they’re all my tweets. No one writes my tweets. They just post them for me.”

I have to say, this is pretty smart on the part of Adele’s management. Any chance Azealia Banks‘ people are reading this?
