Derek Zoolander Unleashes Blue Steel To Promote Justin Bieber’s New Album

He may have left the modeling industry to run the Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can’t Read Good and Wanna Learn To Do Other Good Stuff Too, but Derek Zoolander, the protagonist from the 2001 film Zoolander, played by Ben Stiller, has re-emerged for a very important reason. He is helping Justin Bieber promote his new album Purpose. Through Instagram and Twitter, Bieber has posted pictures and videos of Zoolander hyping the album in his signature way, using his go-to pose Blue Steel. The highlight of this campaign is the picture of Stiller in his Zoolander costume holding up three fingers while the sign he’s holding says “#4 Days #Purpose.”

Stiller is currently filming the sequel to Zoolander and may be doing this promotion in exchange for a cameo in the movie from Bieber. In one of the Instagram photos, Zoolander and Bieber, in a Zoolander wig, are both showing off their Blue Steel poses with the hashtag “Twinsies.” In any event, getting the top male model to promote your album is no easy feat. Just hope that the song “Relax” doesn’t trigger any hijinks from Zoolander.
