AC/DC Drummer Phil Rudd Has Been Charged In Connection To An Alleged Murder-For-Hire Plot

AC/DC hasn’t had much good news as of late, between their impending retirement and Malcolm Young’s health concerns. Add some more to the pile though because drummer Phil Rudd is allegedly in some big trouble involving attempted murder, hitmen, and methamphetamine. From Variety:

According to the New Zealand news site SunLive, the 60 year-old drummer allegedly attempted to procure the murder of two men, and was arrested Thursday. His Taraunga home was raided Thursday morning and he later appeared in Tauranga District Court. He is expected to reappear in court in three weeks.

Rudd is accused of procuring the murder between September 25 and 26, according to court documents obtained by SunLive. The drugs were found in his home Thursday when police arrested him.

This is why you don’t want to get involved in meth, folks. It turns science teachers into murderous kingpins and rock and roll drummers into vengeful criminals. It’s Rudd second legal issue after a 2010 charge for cannabis possession. Safe to say that he has escalated his game a bit if this turns out to be true.
