Here’s An Anti-Anxiety Playlist To Help Ease Your Post-Election Blues

Today is a day of unexpected loss a lot of America. Donald Trump has been elected president of the United States, and a lot of people are concerned about that. We knew that disagreement and a disappointment was going to be the case no matter who won, because our country is deeply divided. Regardless of your political affiliation it is worth noting the very real fears that immigrants, people of color, the queer community, Jews, and women are facing as they look at the president that America just elected. Consider the hearty KKK endorsement of Trump to understand the type of groups his candidacy appealed to. Hopefully, things will be alright and not near as bad as some are fearing right now. As Hillary Clinton noted in her acceptance speech, “Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead.”

This is a time for reflection and loss for those who saw hopes crushed last night, and music is always a balm in moments of crisis like this. If you’re craving a playlist to soothe your anxiety, here is a smattering of songs that the Uproxx staff is using to self-soothe today. Full playlist at the bottom.
